Tonight I went to a sock hop. It's a fundraiser for Tri Kappa. It's a great event for local families and it's fun to see families, young kids, and teens all having a good time together. The youth group has gone for a couple years now and had a great time. midway through the evening, a friend of mine brought a teen to meet me. They had been working in the kitchen together and the subject of our youth group came up and she seemed interested in coming. So, she wanted to introduce the teen to me. As we started talking, one of the youth ran up and gave her a hug. Evidently, they had gone to school together until the girl had moved. They sat and talked for a long time.
At the end of the evening, I ran into her again working in the kitchen. She told me she hoped to come to youth group tomorrow and mentioned another girl she knows that's involved in our group.
So, where was God today? He was at the sock hop!
