As my daily devotion time, I'm going to write, instead of read someone else's, daily miracles. My hope is, that by doing this, I will enrich my journey and awareness of God in the little things in my life and also encourage others to do the same. I encourage you to share your comments and stories of things that you encounter along your journey.
Blessings,
Jennifer

Clothes

Yesterday, I opened my trunk to get something out and thought to myself, "I really need to get that bag of clothes to Goodwill!"  It's ridiculous that it's been in my trunk that long.  Out of sight, out of mind, I guess.
Today, I went to visit a group during their 30 hour famine experience.  During my time there, I talked to them about an upcoming event that I invited them too.  I found out that one of their youth is already involved in the local drug round table discussions, but we're hoping to get more teens involved so they have a voice in what's going on.  A friend of mine is a big part of that and when I mentioned her name, several of the youth lit up.  They started telling me about their new mission project.  This friend of mine started Worthy Women's Recovery Home.  These teens saw a need and figured out a way to fill it.  They are collecting business and professional clothes, toothpaste, deodorant, and shoes to give to the residents when they go out on job interviews.  They are already filling racks with clothes and are almost out of hangers!  After she started telling me about their mission project, I ran outside and got the bag of clothes in my trunk.  I had gotten it from someone who works in a professional environment and she had given me a lot of business clothes.  So, this bag was filled with professional looking clothes, sweaters, and things that they will hopefully be able to put to good use!
Where was God today?  He was in the hearts of these youth who are working to make the world a better place, who see problems in the world and don't give up but rather look for solutions and make it happen!  They are working for God doing amazing things!

The Message (MSG)
2-3But friends, that's exactly who we are: children of God. And that's only the beginning. Who knows how we'll end up! What we know is that when Christ is openly revealed, we'll see him—and in seeing him, become like him. All of us who look forward to his Coming stay ready, with the glistening purity of Jesus' life as a model for our own.
Blessings,
Jennifer
