Tonight I was at a meeting and 2 people came up to me and shared about middle schoolers who need a positive place to be. That's reassurance that the Teen Center is where I am supposed to be. So far it's the best kept secret in town. But, for 3 days I've gotten more teens than we ever had before. That's nothing compared to those who could be there but it's a start!
I went to an interesting meeting tonight. Basically, it was a meeting to inspire us to dream big, to think outside the box, and to see where God wants our church to go- and then move it there! I was blessed to be a part of it. It made me realize even more that I'm a part of something awesome! Lately, I've seen so many positive ways that our church is growing- not just in people but in actions. Of course, there is always more room to grow. And, I'm excited to be a part of something that's willing to do the work to grow.
I have until May to figure out a dream for our church. Part of me wants to be the "good student" that gets my assignment done right away. But, I think I need to sit and watch for awhile, pray about what my dream is.
So where was God today? He was in that room encouraging, challenging, and hoping for the future of our church. And, he was in that room putting me in the path of caring adults who are hoping teens can find a safe, positive place to be.
