After a crazy busy week and weekend, I needed something. I needed a good time and some laughter. I got it. A friend was taking her daughter to Justice and some other stores. Having a boy, I'd never entered a Justice before. I walked into a room of sparkles, ruffles, and all things girly! I was overcome with flashbacks from the 80's- flashdance shirts, leggings, jean mini skirts, you name it from the 80's! So as we strolled around the store, something hit my funny bone. And, before I knew it, I was posing holding up assorted shirts that nobody my age should ever wear! And, thanks to phones with cameras, my friend got some of them on film. And, when she "double dog dared me (yes- really!) to put one of the girls shirts on, well, we're talking double dog dare! How could I refuse? So... yeah!
My original plan for the day was to go to church, go home and do nothing, and then go to youth group. Plan B was so much better! Sometimes, laughter is much more relaxing and refreshing than a nap!
So, where was God today? The answer goes back a ways because today happened because God put someone special in my path a few years ago. And, for that I'm very thankful.
