Tuesday, I got to the church in time for the end of Vacation Bible School. Recently, someone had told me a young relative of hers didn't go to church but was asking questions about God. I found out she was at VBS this week. So, I went up to the youth class to chat with her and found 6 new middle schoolers there. They had finished all of their things for the day and had 15 minutes left to go. So, I told them about youth group and had the adult and helper also share about youth group. They all seemed excited about it and interested in learning more about it.
I'm excited to see where God leads this group of middle schoolers that is willing to go to VBS. I hope to make it the beginning of a long term youth group experience.
And, when I saw the girl who had been asking about God, I realized I knew her from my other job. So, she's already comfortable with me. So, hopefully, she will continue to come and will be able to ask questions and get answers.
