(Thursday) In-Laws

Today I went to my in-law's to get things ready for a youth picnic I'm having there Sunday.  My mother- in- law and I quickly got done what we needed to do.  Then, we sat down and chatted.  It's not often we do that, for no other reason than we are both usually busy.  But, this morning, it was nice that we both took some time out to sit and chat.  I am often aware of how blessed I am with a wonderful family of in-law's.  I knew my parent's in- law before I knew my husband.  And, when my husband and I got married, I gained another wonderful family, including my parent's in- law, sister's, brother's, nieces, and nephews!  I was welcomed in to the family, as was my son who was later adopted so he could officially be a part of the family.  They fit in with my family and we were all raised with loving Christian values that carry on today.
So, this morning, as I sat with my mother- in- law, I felt blessed that God not only gave me a wonderful husband but also a wonderful family.  Even when I left the church that I had gone to with them, although it was hard for them, they realized it was God's plan that I move on.  And, now I enjoy talking to them about both of our churches, sharing my thoughts and ideas and listening to what is going on with theirs.  My father- in- law is about to take their youth on a mission trip.  And, my mother- in- law is active in many things, too. 
So, where was God today?  He gave me a reminder of just how blessed I am and of the gift He gave me.
