Event

Tonight was awesome!  I had a Teen Event tonight and had heard people had doubts about whether many teens would show up.  Over 100 teens were there enjoying a safe, positive, fun evening!  Everything ran smoothly, the community supported the event, people came and volunteered to help, businesses donated, and everyone had a great time!  I was constantly in awe of the blessings others shared.  Seeing people using their gifts to help the teens of the community was an awesome thing! 
I spent 11 years coordinating events in my previous job.  It got to the point where I barely had to think about it to plan an event.  I never would have thought that time would be preparing me to organize community events for teens!  But, tonight, as everything clicked together, I realized that God had been leading me up to nights like tonight and events with my youth. 
So, where was God today?  He was in the hearts and minds of all of the people who used their gifts to make tonight a great thing for the community and for the teens.  And, He has been leading me along a journey that has been preparing me to help care for His youth.
