I got back this morning in time to take my son to camp for the summer. He'll be working there for the next two months. It's hard to believe my baby has left the nest. But, today that became a reality. I am proud to say that his first "home away from home" is a church camp for the summer. I think that says something about the young man he is trying to become. He is, of course, a teenage boy. So, with that comes ups and downs. He has a kind and compassionate heart to most. And, I am pretty sure he has a deep faith in God, although I am sure at times he questions where that should take him. But, I'm glad he questions so that he can grasp his own faith and understanding.
I have high hopes for him in the next two months. It will be a time of growing up and being on his own. But, I'm hoping it will also be a time of growing in his relationship with God. He's going there to do lights and technology stuff. But, something tells me he'll get a lot more out of it than that.
So, where was God today? It's not so much where He was today, but what He started today. And, the answer is I don't know. But, I know He has a plan for my son and I'm praying He'll continue to follow that path. I do know God walks with him every day and this summer will be amazing for a lot of youth!
Blessings,
Jennifer
