As my daily devotion time, I'm going to write, instead of read someone else's, daily miracles. My hope is, that by doing this, I will enrich my journey and awareness of God in the little things in my life and also encourage others to do the same. I encourage you to share your comments and stories of things that you encounter along your journey.
Blessings,
Jennifer

Celebration

Tonight was a wonderful celebration! A Wonderful Wednesday celebration to be more exact! We started the Wednesday night activities last September and have enjoyed all of these months of fellowship and learning together. Tonight was the last night for the school year.
After dinner, the children sang songs, complete with motions, recited several memory verses, and shared about their favorite Bible stories. Of course, they were adorable! After that, the youth shared some memory work that they had done this year. Then, we celebrated with their awards for attendance and Bible work. They were so excited! It was awesome to see them feeling proud for what they had done.
The tables were filled with parents, grandparents, and church family. The blessings of having Wonderful Wednesday have been many! Children and youth have learned throughout the year. The youth have had a chance to dig deeper in the Bible and learn more about the Bible and scripture. The children have learned more Bible stories and have started learning memory verses consistently. The adults have had short term Bible studies and book discussions. Along with learning all of that, they all learned more about each other. Sitting together and eating together has brought people together. People from all of the services, all ages and walks of life connecting weekly has been a beautiful thing.
Another blessing has been having the groups of the church work together to make a meal for Wonderful Wednesday. There is something bonding about making a meal together. And, seeing all of the groups willing to be a part of this event has been really great. It also helps people who didn't normally attend see what was happening every Wednesday.
So, tonight was bittersweet as we enjoyed the celebration but will miss the time together this summer.
So, where was God today? He was in the children and youth who shared what they learned this year.
Blessings,
Jennifer
