Train

I just got on the train.  Tomorrow I’ll be visiting family in New York.  It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to take a mini vacation.  So, I’m pretty excited!  Usually, if I’m off from one job, it’s to go somewhere for my other job.   But, this trip has seemed to all come together perfectly.  It happens to be a time when I’m not needed at one job and am normally not working the other job.  It also happens to be one of the few weeks of the year that I get an “extra” check due to the way I budget.  And, the train ticket was cheaper than driving so I don’t have to worry about driving or my car not making it. 

So, tonight I feel very blessed.  I am looking forward to a few days of getting refreshed, spending time with some people I love, and having some time to just be. 

So, where was God in all of this?  I think He knew I was ready for a vacation and this is His gift to me.
