Tonight was campus life at the Teen Center. I finally had a chance to stay during it rather than leaving when it started. I love when they start coming in! There are so many and they are all so excited to be there! The leader has been doing it for a long time and it's evident that he loves what he's doing and that the teens love him.
After a few ice breaker games, they had a discussion. They all sat on the floor and listened intently. There were no side chats, no interruptions, no distractions. They all wanted to be right there hearing what he had to say about Jesus! That is a beautiful sight.
My Coping with Anger class is now right before Campus Life. So, one of my middle schoolers that is working hard to choose the right path, but having trouble always doing it, is in that class. She stayed for Campus Life and, although she seemed nervous because she didn't know anyone, I know the leader made her feel special by letting her stay. And, I know that she benefited by listening to his message.
So, where was God today? He was in that room with all those teens who came to hear about Him. And, He gave the leader the words to say so that they would listen, understand, and get closer to Him.
Blessings,
Jennifer
